About The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
At The Lara Craft School, our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a world-recognized framework that supports every child’s growth from birth to age 5. We believe children learn best through play, exploration, and real-life experiences, so each activity combines fun with purpose, nurturing skills for life, not just school.

Our program integrates all 7 Areas of Learning and Development, ensuring a balanced approach that supports every aspect of your child’s growth.

Commuication & Language
Children develop the confidence to express themselves, listen actively, and build vocabulary through songs, storytelling, role play, and guided conversations during virtual and home sessions. We use everyday experiences, from describing their favorite toy to talking about family trips, to strengthen early communication skills.

Math
Math is introduced through play, counting toys, sorting colors, and exploring everyday shapes and patterns. Children learn to count, recognize numbers, compare sizes, and solve simple problems using manipulatives like counters, puzzles, and our unique Moveable Jumbo Numbers.

Understanding The World
Children discover how things work, explore their environment, and learn about people, places, and cultures. We use science-inspired experiments, outdoor exploration, and cultural themes, such as Nigerian transportation, foods, and festivals, to help them make sense of the world around them

Personal Social Emotional Development
Our homeschool community encourages kindness, independence, and self-confidence. Children will be taught to share, take turns, recognize emotions, and manage simple responsibilities during live sessions and at home. Through positive reinforcement and storytelling, we help each child develop empathy, self-awareness, and resilience.

Literacy
We foster a lifelong love of reading and writing through phonics, picture books, and creative expression. Children explore letter sounds, rhymes, and early writing activities using our hands-on literacy kits, story videos, and tracing boards. Every week includes interactive storytelling with Lara Craft and friends to make literacy fun and meaningful.

Physical Development
Through hands-on play and movement activities, children refine both gross and fine motor skills. From riding toy bikes to threading beads, painting, or using tongs, each task builds strength, coordination, and body awareness, laying the foundation for healthy habits and early writing skills.

Expressive Arts & Design
Every child is an artist and inventor! Through music, painting, dance, storytelling, and building, children express their imagination freely. Each monthly kit includes art and craft materials for themed projects like My Dream Car or Under the Sea Collage, linking creativity to the term’s learning theme
